Linux Magazine Annual Security Survey 2007
As the year draws to a close, it’s time to look back and reflect on… IT security. Was 2007 a banner year for secure systems, or rampant attacks? Did your shop sail through the year with no problems, or did you spend late nights recovering systems?

We’re conducting a survey of IT professionals who manage systems for SMBs to enterprise organizations. Tell us how the year went, and what you’re planning for 2008.
If you have additional comments or war stories to share, feel free to post them in our comments section. We’ll be compiling the survey results and sharing them later in December.
We fend off thousands of probes a day across our distributed network and the networks of our clients who contract us for their network security. We haven’t been broken into even one time since we started, and we have over 2 million probes and attacks documented over the past 4 years or so.
We’ve also developed a wifi security application that secures any wifi communication, even if you’re using an open network at your favorite coffee shop.
We’re currently working on a completely secured automated “setup and forget it” off-site backup solution for end user PCs and laptops.
