Adaptec Raid Storage Processor Technology Integrated Into IBM's Highly Successful BladeCenter(TM)

MILPITAS, Calif., Oct. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Adaptec, Inc. (Nasdaq: ADPT), a global leader in storage solutions, today announced that IBM is integrating its RAID Storage Processor (RSP) technology into the highly- successful IBM BladeCenter S, creating the industry's first fully redundant, shared blade storage system. The Adaptec RAID technology being deployed by IBM is part of the technology portfolio of Aristos Logic Corporation that Adaptec acquired in August 2008.
