I owe everyone an apology, especially the developer of Portable Apps. The software was not my problem at all it was a series of two bad USB keys. After discovering the hardware was faulty I learned Portable Apps is a terrific product that should be in everyone's pocket. As far my 12 month gap on this site I am sorry also, I do not get to frequent this as much as I would like.
Again I am sorry Portable Apps rocks. »
Everyone talks so highly about portableapps. I tried it and would like my thumbdrive back. It's not a bad program I just didn't realize it was permanent. Just go ahead and try to format that thumbdrive after installing portable apps. »
I would be curious to know what Dell is calling support for the product. As I see it Ubuntu is an extremely flexible OS that has been able to run on anything I load it on. In some case it allows better performance than XP and the laptop I am using was "Designed for Microsoft Windows XP". So is DELL just taking advantage of this flexible OS and calling it support, or are they actually researching hardware and loading optimal software? »
